WSU Alum Joe McClure, McClure’s Pickles[/caption] The Detroit Free Press has reported that Endeavor Detroit, recently included in our Talent Profile of Antonio Lück, has selected two companies founded by RU4M alumni entrepreneurs to receive high-level mentorship and support. “Endeavor Global — whose mission is to catalyze long-term economic growth by selecting, mentoring and accelerating high-impact entrepreneurs around the world — selected Detroit as its second U.S. affiliate because of the opportunities for entrepreneurial growth in the region, including the close proximity to the Research Universities for Michigan’s three world-class research universities,” Lück said. Endeavor Detroit is a branch of a global nonprofit dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs of 2nd stage companies. They are:
- McClure’s Pickles, founded by brothers Bob and Joe McClure (an alumnus of Wayne State University)
- Algal Scientific, co-founded by Geoff Horst (an alumnus of Michigan State University and the University of Michigan)
