MSU’s Water Alliance tackles critical water challenges through interdisciplinary collaboration. The Alliance addresses urgent issues like PFAS contamination and invasive species, develops next-generation water scientists, and partners with communities for real solutions. With 188 faculty experts across 6 research hubs, 14 departments, and 5 colleges, the Alliance combines cutting-edge research with practical education programs like the WaterCube NRT Fellowship. Recent initiatives include EPA rule updates for removing “forever chemicals” and innovative programs where young engineers use LEGO robotics to combat Great Lakes invasive species.
